e-Cross Prototype Electric SUV Inmares 2012 Concept Car

Inmares 2012 Concept Car, Developed in Germany, Innovative electric SUV, the Inmares e-Cross is an all-electric SUV that has been presented with some of the most interesting technological solutions of the moment, which include electric motors only 24 centimeters in diameter and weighing 45 kilos each. Each component has been specifically developed by Inmares, let’s start with the chassis, a modular, universal chassis which can receive different types of body thanks to tubes with flexible geometry. This structure reduces costs and therefore allows to plan small production runs.
e-Cross Prototype Electric SUV Inmares 2012 Concept Car
Part of a universal platform that stands out for its flexibility and where we can accommodate two to four 32 kW motors each rated power, 45 kW peak power for a maximum delivery of 180 kW (245 hp) and torque 3,899 Nm, as well as engines that provide front-wheel drive, rear-or all, have the particularity to be configured to increase or decrease the power output to maximize autonomy. Each engine develops 32kW in nominal, 45kW in peak (60hp) and 886Nm of torque (997Nm peak), features two integrated-gears (three optional) and an internal cooling system!
e-Cross Prototype Electric SUV Inmares 2012 Concept Car
With those simple and compact motors, the idea is to offer a flexible vehicle that can be configured in 5 different ways, 4-wheel drive, front-wheel drive (with one or two motors) or back-wheel drive (one or two motors again). As for your electric range, this is the best kept secret by its developers and as such, the e-Cross Prototype Electric SUV Inmares 2012 Concept Car could have between 800 and 1,000 km range, but not disclosed as they will. Everything points to an extensive use of autonomy, but not a gasoline extender like the one we saw in the first electric car in the Dakar, the OSCAR e0, but it seems that Inmares go a step further and use a fuel cell hydrogen to extend the range of this interesting model.
e-Cross Prototype Electric SUV Inmares 2012 Concept Car
The power they develop is adjustable from 10 to 50kW while they offer a greater efficiency thanks to the small number of parts, very compact they can be exchanged within 10 minutes. The two speeds allow more torque at low rpms and an improved top speed.

Emerg-e Electric Infiniti 2012 Sports Concept Car

Unveiled at today's Geneva motor show, Emerg-e Electric Sports Car Infiniti 2012 Concept Car, Infiniti chiefs say it is “feasible” to build a production version of its Emerg-e extended-range electric sports car. Infiniti has constructed a running prototype that produces 402bhp from its two electric motors. After first showing it as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Infiniti has turned the stunning Emerg-E into a fully working prototype and plans to drive in front of a public audience at this month’s 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Goodwood is the most famous English meeting for cars whether they are oldtimers, actual or future vehicles, but all legendary! Therefore, Infiniti naturally chose this event to host the first public exhibition of the Emerg-e in motion.

The Infiniti Emerg-E Concept, is a highly advanced mid-ship sports car that provides an exciting glimpse into Infiniti's future. Infiniti Emerg-E is physical proof of Infiniti's intention to produce a bold halo model befitting the brand's promise of Inspired Performance, and also signals an array of exciting new technologies that the brand will adopt in its quest to build dramatic and sustainable high performance cars. Emerg-e Electric Sports Car Infiniti 2012 Concept Car also provides a fresh expression of Infiniti's design language applied to a high performance, mid-ship sports car for the first time.
Emerg-e Electric Infiniti 2012 Sports Concept Car

The main challenges will be the cost of the motors and the need to outsource the Emerg-e Electric Sports Car Infiniti 2012 Concept Car’s carbonfibre body. Infiniti’s product planning boss, Francois Bancon, said, “There is nothing really difficult to do except the carbonfibre, where we need a high-level partner.” He envisaged the Emerg-e would cost around “$150,000 (£95,000). Emerg-e Electric Sports Car Infiniti 2012 Concept Car is also significant for being the first Infiniti that has been developed in Europe. More than that, its advanced technology deliberately draws on the knowledge of suppliers beyond Infiniti's usual base in the quest to uncover the most innovative hardware and the deepest knowledge base.

Infiniti chiefs say it is “feasible” to build a production version of its Emerg-e extended-range electric sports car. Infiniti has constructed a running prototype that produces 402bhp from its two electric motors. But Bancon and Infiniti’s chiefs were adamant, and Hardcastle’s team set to work on the Emerg-e. Unveiled today at the Geneva motor show, the extended-range electric car aims to marry sports car performance with Infiniti standards of luxury and zero-emissions driving.
Power for the sleek, rear-drive, two-seat Emerg-e Electric Sports Car Infiniti 2012 Concept Car comes from a pair of electric motors with a combined output of 300kW (402bhp), and the car is capable of 30 miles of travel under electric power alone. With the range extender – a Lotus-derived 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine – up to 300 miles is possible between refills. When the battery becomes low, the engine acts a generator to extend the car's range an additional 270 miles (434 km). Imagine a superfast, near silent sports car, cruising the neon-lit streets of an after-dark London. This is the compelling image that gave birth to Infiniti Emerg-E, and this concept is its realisation.
Emerg-e Electric Infiniti 2012 Sports Concept Car
Infiniti Emerg-E is a highly advanced, mid-ship, electric motors powered sports car concept. It projects Infiniti's already-advanced electric vehicle technology deep into the future with a range-extender powertrain that delivers the performance expected of sports car bearing the Infiniti badge. Combining thrilling performance with the scope to drive in urban conditions for up to 30 miles with zero emissions, it emits no more than 55g/km of CO2 (NEDC cycle) over a 300 mile combined range. Infiniti Emerg-E lays down a radical new marker for mid-ship sports cars, and explores one of a number of the alternative propulsion avenues that Infiniti is considering.
Creating a sporty, dynamic and unusual flagship is one inspiration for the Emerg-e Electric Sports Car Infiniti 2012 Concept Car programme, but equally important is Infiniti's continued exploration of alternative propulsion systems, a logical next-step for a company that is already selling the advanced Infiniti M35h. That exploration takes an unusual form with Infiniti Emerg-E, its range-extender driveline a first for Infiniti.

S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car

S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car

Volvo Cars Official Motorsport and Performance partner Polestar present the Volvo S60 Polestar Concept, Volvo has been hinting at a new performance range of models developed with its motorsports partner Polestar for the past several years, with things first heating up when the covers came off the C30 Polestar performance concept back in 2010. The S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car was built to showcase the performance potential of Volvo’s C30 and also link the car to its racing cousin, which at the time was being fielded in various forms of motorsports by Polestar.
S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car

Generally the opposing ends of the spectrum, Volvo is looking to bring the association between speed and safety closer with its S60 Performance Concept. Fabricated in conjunction with Polestar, a specialist in motorsport conversions, the S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car received a top-to-bottom alteration. As Volvo’s official motorsport and performance partner, Polestar helped the automaker develop a car that combines Volvo’s comfortable driving experience with a high level of power and handling, providing a bit more performance to their platform. "We are proud to present Polestar's interpretation of the S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car" says Christian Dahl, founder and CEO of Polestar. "It's a car developed with our own preferences in mind which, we from experience know, are shared by a group of active drivers"
S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car

The main focus when developing the car has been to combine a comfortable genuine Volvo driving experience with a high level of power and handling. The Volvo T6 engine has been tuned to deliver a considerable increase in power and torque. This, in combination with a lowered, widened and reinforced chassis together with a tuned Haldex all-wheel drive system and Öhlins suspension makes the S60 PolestarConcept Car suitable for both high performance driving and long distance travelling. Volvo 2012

Moving on from the legendary Volvo C30 Polestar, a new chapter in Polestar’s 16 year cooperation with Volvo has started. Volvo Polestar Racing has entered four Volvo S60s for the 2012 season in the new Swedish racing series TTA – Racing Elite League. In parallel with the race-car development, a street-version of the S60 has also been developed. The official launch of the car, named Volvo S60 Polestar, will take place June 16th at the third race round of the TTA series held at Polestar’s home track in downtown Gothenburg, Sweden. “The performance concept road-car is a spinoff of our work evaluating and developing the S60 for racing.” says Polestar Marketing Director Hans Bååth.
S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car

Whereas the production T6 Polestar makes do with a mere 329bhp and 355lb-ft of torque from its turbocharged inline-six, the S60 Polestar politely kicks its sibling aside with 501bhp and 424lb-ft. That’s enough to propel the Polestar from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a terminal velocity of 186mph (300 km/h). The T6 engine has been tuned by fitting a Garret 3171 turbo, together with strengthened con-rods, modified inlet manifold and air intake, modified cylinder head and combustion chambers and a 3.5” stainless steel exhaust system.
S60 Polestar Volvo 2012 Concept Car

The exterior features a lowered front splitter and larger rear spoiler, a carbon fiber diffuser and the entire body was widened (front and rear) for a more aggressive and sportier stance. The interior has been updated with custom Polestar-designed seats for better support, an Alcantara-lined cabin and a center console that’s been optimized to improve ergonomics. This one-off concept was actually built for a specific client, but Volvo might but the Polestar modified S60s into production based on market response.

Externally, the Neue Klasse has a sleek and futuristic. Singaporean designer Ying Hern Pow was inspired by German cars and Rolls Royce Phantom, including the shape and size of wheels. Boasts Luxurious Neue Klasse Concept Car By Ying Hern Pow Dasign has less than 1.6-meters height but offers generous length and width of 5.14-meter and 2-meter respectively. The wheelbase is 3.9-meter long and in order to balance the proportion and minimize the horizontality of the Boasts Luxurious Neue Klasse Concept Car By Ying Hern Pow Dasign, the designer has fitted big wheels like those used by Rolls Royce Phantom. Combined together with thick A-pillar in silver satin, this creates a better vertical visual flow to the side profile.

The flowing, dynamic profile of driving is defined by the hood and by the sweeping, accelerating curve that gives form to the windscreen and roofline silhouette, ending with a long, well integrated rear claddings, which reinforces the fastback effect. Neue Klasse concept car side profile has an imposing ‘D’ bulge that defines the character of the car, this ‘D’ design cue can be felt in the interior of the Boasts Luxurious Neue Klasse Concept Car By Ying Hern Pow Dasign too. A unique triangular rear side skirt adds dynamism and the sculpted looks to the car, complemented by a chrome side fender located by the front wheels.

The styling was repeatedly hampered by Rhino’s inability to sculpt more sophisticated form and surfaces. The repercussion was a good two months gone for trial and errors to achieve the desired looks and styling. Color choice was deemed to be challenging because it is crucial in getting the right feel. Gun metal grey is the mainstay of the color scheme as I believe that this color is what makes a car look futuristic and bring out its metallic surfaces.

The interior has been designed to enhance social interaction between passengers, they will also find stress-free operating environment. Beautiful beige color scheme coupled with rosewood trims and burgundy accent definitely create luxurious cabin environment. Passengers are spoiled with good ergonomics seat and comfort, the “D” design language can be observed within the cabin of Neue Klasse.

The area that took really long researches was the knee and legroom for both the second and third row of passengers, because the main objective was to avoid “knee-to-knee” experience within the cabin. The result was a good 500mm of legroom that can be shared among passengers, enough even for male occupants.

Zagato Coupé BMW 2012 Concept Car

Zagato Coupé BMW 2012 Concept Car

BMW released official pictures of a Zagato‘s Automotive Coupe concept car, the sports cars coupé is in cooperation with the famous Italian design company Zagato, the Vmax of conceptdesign philosophy, and use a lot of aerodynamic design. Introducing the new Zagato Coupé 2012 BMW Concept Car  displayed at the Villa d’Este Concours d’Elegance 2012. The aerodynamic design has been developed in partnership with Milanese carmaker Zagato and it’s characterised by a very long bonnet, set-back cabin, cockpit, double-bubble roof - signature element of the Italian coachbuilder - and muscular, short rear end.
Zagato Coupé BMW 2012 Concept Car
The Zagato’s Automotive Coupe design concept to understand, it is more like the pursuit of speed, strong power and excellent aerodynamic design is essential. BMW’s classic sports car Z4 body outline extended to the concept car, the kidney grille with the new “Z” type grid, lights and engine hatch lines cleverly echoes the design of lines, including the side waistline add a lot of muscle sense.
Zagato Coupé BMW 2012 Concept Car
The attractive interplay of lines here draws attention to the rear wheels and the Zagato Coupé 2012 BMW Concept Car’s rear-wheel-drive configuration. The powerful flourish above the rear wheels is picked up and passed on by the spoiler, injecting the whole area with additional dynamic impetus. In fact, the rear end of the Zagato Coupé 2012 BMW Concept Car is so distinctive that it provides the clearest evidence of Zagato’s influence in this project. It was formed almost without a single joint and thus appearing as if formed from a single mould. The rear of the BMW Zagato Coupé has a very broad, low-slung appearance, which lends it powerful and solid stance on the road.
Zagato Coupé BMW 2012 Concept Car
Moreover, a matt edging brings the attention to the diffuser, then draws the focus to the wheels and underlines the sporty stance of the Zagato Coupé 2012 BMW Concept Car. The exhaust tailpipes are situated towards the outer edges of the rear and also have matt finish.
Zagato Coupé BMW 2012 Concept Car
There are also additional elements in the vehicle, which were fitted by hand. Such are for example the horizontal lines in the instrument panel and doors. The base colours used for the exclusive leather are a light and dark shade of grey. In the interior is featured also red decorative stitching in the instrument panel, doors and seats. They all lend the car more sporting presence. The luggage compartment has two shades of grey and the red accents as well.
Zagato Coupé BMW 2012 Concept Car
Perhaps, though don't forget that Zagato has previous when it comes to production versions of supposedly one-off concepts. Earlier this year Aston Martin comissioned a limited run of V12 Zagatos following positive reaction to the initial concept car, with the finished road-going articles weighing in at £405,000, almost four times that of a regular V12 Vantage with identical performance.

Alpine A 110-50 Renault 2012 Concept Car

 Alpine A 110-50 Renault 2012 Concept Car

Renault has created a concept car named Renault Alpine A 110-50 Renault Concept Car, dedicated to performance and driving enjoyment. This is the Renault Alpine A 110-50, a new concept car that marks the 50th anniversary of the Alpine A110 and hints at a possible return of the French sports car brand. Alpine is a Renault-owned brand which produced cars between 1955 and 1995. The A110-50 concept car's design draws on the company's previous models, but has also been strongly influenced by the Renault Dezir concept car that was unveiled in 2010.

Alpine A 110-50 Renault 2012 Concept Car
To mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic Berlinette, Design Yann Jarsalle and Concept and Show Car Director Axel Breun reinterpreted the original design cues to include the new Renault design language introduced by Laurens van den Acker with the DeZir concept car, and which will soon be rolled out in the company's future models. The new front-end look, with the upright, confident diamond, has been adapted for this very low and wide car. The Renault Alpine A 110-50 Renault Concept Car is a car of today; a bold embodiment of Renault's passion for motorsport.
Alpine A 110-50  Renault 2012 Concept Car

"For everybody on the team, it was a dream come true to work on an Alpine concept car. We wanted to put this car firmly in the modern day, while resonating with its heritage" - Laurens van den Acker, Senior VP, Corporate Design.
Alpine A 110-50 Renault 2012 Concept Car

Senior management figures at Renault have long suggested that the Alpine brand could return - and the A110-50 uses proven technology that could easily be adapted for a low-volume production run. The concept uses the same platform as the Renault Megane Trophy race car and has a mid-mounted 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that develops 395bhp. Drive is to the rear wheels, through a six-speed gearbox that uses a pedal-operated clutch and paddle shifters.
Alpine A 110-50 Renault 2012 Concept Car

"The car is very curvy, like the Berlinette, while expressing the three key words of our new design policy: simple, sensual and friendly" - Axel Breun. The efficiency of the Renault Alpine A110-50 concept car is largely generated by ground effect. At the front, a splitter hidden in the bumper generates low pressure, which results in significant aerodynamic downforce. At the rear, a diffuser accelerates air flow beneath the floor. Ground effect therefore accounts for more than one-third of the car's downforce, with the rest coming from an adjustable rear wing.
